Wingz is a 2-way information transfer system consisting of many applications to suit our users' needs. Essentially, our users can use this Wireless Internet New-Generation Service (Wingz) to upload information onto their personal or shared databases on our server to retrieve later, or source for information available on the Internet, all through any mobile phone. Data retrievals and queries are also simple and allow users to filter information to what they actually need.

Wingz is one of the mobile-IT solutions that Whisk Technologies is developing, and now offers many basic information look-up services easily to all mobile phone users, anytime and anywhere! And without the need for Personal Digital Assistants, special modems, or wi-fi connections.

Wingz was unveiled on 16 May 2004. It is currently undergoing development by Whisk Technologies.

How Does It Work?

Wingz has 3 main functions, which vary in use for the different applications under Wingz.

• Storage.

Some applications for Wingz allows users to store personal or shared databases onto our server, prior to accessing them from our system via query and answer. For example, address book particulars, birthdays of people, etc. Data storage may be done by SMS, MMS, email or web forms.



• Query.

Queries for information from users' databases or the Internet are sent to our server either through SMS, MMS, emails or web forms. These may contain commands, keywords or filters depending on what information is required and how specific the user wants it to be.



• Answer.

Data can be generated onto small webpages online in Wireless Markup Language (WML) or normal HTML. As such, our users may access ("pull") their queried data from our generated webpages online through their mobile phones using WAP/GPRS (if available), or have them sent ("pushed") through SMS, MMS or email.

Feedback

Wingz is currently being developed and thus not available to users at the moment. However, we welcome your feedback, be it comments, suggestions or improvements. Please do take your time going through all the applications listed above and tell us what you think about this service and we might be able to tailor or modify the applications and functions to meet your needs.

Once Wingz is ready for beta-testing, we will start to allow users to sign up for the service, and the sign-up form will replace this section. So watch this space!
